How the import works
Connecting Yahoo uses Yahoo’s own sign-in page — the same kind of flow as “Sign in with Google” — and you approve read-only access to your fantasy leagues there. Once connected, LeagueBarn lists every league on your Yahoo account across every year it has one, so you pick straight from that list and choose which seasons to bring in — no league ID or username to look up. You’ll sign in with Google separately, only to save the league to your account. From there, your league’s current season keeps syncing automatically, refreshed every 20 minutes during games.
What we read, what we never write
We read your league’s Yahoo data you approved access to and, once you sign in, your name/email/Google account ID to know the league is yours. We never see your Yahoo password, never post to your league, and never change a roster or a setting.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need my league password?
No — connecting Yahoo uses Yahoo’s own sign-in page, and you approve read-only access there. We never see your Yahoo password, and the only other sign-in involved is Google, once at the end, just to save the league to your account.
Where do I find my Yahoo league ID?
You don’t need one. Once you connect Yahoo, LeagueBarn lists every league on your account — across every year Yahoo has one — and you pick the right one straight from that list.
Can I import seasons from before we moved to Yahoo?
Not automatically yet. LeagueBarn can bring in every season your Yahoo account already has on record, but typing in seasons from a platform you left behind isn’t built yet — see our League History page for where that’s headed.
Does LeagueBarn change anything in my league?
No. LeagueBarn only ever reads your league’s data. It never posts to your league, changes a roster, or touches a setting — there’s nothing in the product that writes back to Sleeper or ESPN at all.
Is LeagueBarn free?
Yes, free while we’re in beta. If we introduce paid plans later, existing leagues get notice first.
Who can see our league page — is it public?
Yes — your league’s page (yourleague.leaguebarn.com) is public to anyone with the link, the same way your league is already visible on its platform. Your personal account info (email, name) is never shown on it.
What happens when the season ends?
Once your season is marked complete, that year’s standings, draft grades, and trade grades stop changing and become part of your league’s permanent record. LeagueBarn’s automatic sync only touches the current, in-progress season.
